Erosion of Our Country

We have re-elected Barack Obama as our President and there are many fears of what will become of our Republic.  He is the most liberal President in our nations history, but the liberalism has been sneaking into our country since  FDR.  While I agree that President Obama has been instrumental in making more drastic changes more rapidly than any of his predecessors, our Republic has been changing from the original concept for almost one hundred years.  Our courts no longer adhere to the intent and restrictions set on the government, but choose to interpret what each Justice deems to be the law.  I am saddened because our Supreme Court is viewed by many as conservative, but in reality it has not adhered to conservative principles since FDR threatened to pack the court with liberal jurists.  There is not one truly Conservative Justice sitting on the court.  They all accept the erosion of States and Individual rights to the supremacy of federal laws and edicts.  The 11th and 12th amendments are meaningless when the court allows the Constitution's one brief statement on interstate commerce be misinterpreted to include any and all action as acceptable by the Congress passing of questionable and unconstitutional laws.  Any conflict between and state law and a federal law is always granted to the federal statute.  I believe that our founding fathers wanted the states to have jurisdiction on almost all of civil and criminal law.  The federal jurisdiction should be to settle disputes between states, ensure free commerce between states and to handle international law.  We have almost made the state governments meaningless as they must answer to the federal bureaucrats.  What a shame.
